Fair Usage Limits and how you can manage them.
Fair Usage Limits exist to keep the network usable and responsive for every one of the scheme’s members at peak times, and allow us to offer a variety of packages.
We understand that having internet is a necessity not a privilege so from that perspective we will never cut off anyone for using over the limit. Nor do we charge for over use, like the mobile & other wireless operators. However, from time to time, you may bump up against our temporary limits.
1 We only count traffic from 08:00am to Midnight
2 We increase the speed for everyone on the network from Midnight to 08:00am. We do this to encourage large downloads by night and thus relieving pressure at peak times
3. From the feedback we have received we have opted to provide a daily Fair Usage Limit rather than a monthly one so the bandwidth limiting resets every night at midnight and as above we only start counting from 08:00am. This is preferable to a monthly limit, which might get imposed early in the month.
